Mr. Alexander is a Partner at Ivy Hill Asset Management, where he has been employed since July 2010. Additionally, he serves as a member of the Ivy Hill Asset Management Investment Committee. Prior to joining Ares in 2010, Mr. Alexander was a Vice President in the Asset Management Group at Allied Capital Corporation upon its acquisition of the management contracts of Emporia Capital Management in March 2009. Previously, Mr. Alexander was a Co-Founder and Director at Emporia Capital Management, LLC, a middle market CLO platform, where he focused on overseeing underwriting, portfolio management and operations. In addition, Mr. Alexander was a Manager at PB (fka BHF) Capital Corporation, where he focused on underwriting and portfolio management of middle market loans. In addition, Mr. Alexander worked in Ernst & Young's financial consulting unit, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions, capital raising opportunities and valuations. Mr. Alexander holds a B.S. from Yeshiva University and an M.B.A. from Columbia University.
